Second on my build up to Ring of Fire commission, I moved up to the larger piece needed by the client and proceeded with the colors and some design elements used in Fissure. It started as a full abstract focused on color and texture, but somehow a tree emerged from the canvas! I love the unexpected outcome, perhaps I was unconsciously influenced by the falling leaves and beauty of the season when I was painting the piece.
