Inspired by windows from the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, I combined stained glass design ideas with clay & acrylic paints to create an interplay of textures, motion, flow & color that conveys visual joy. I applied my practice of glazing stained glass windows and mixed media to create colorful contemporary wall art. Each artwork is made from 40-60 unique handmade clay tiles.

I loved experimenting with some new textures in this piece! Definitely some of my personal favorite Golden Fluid Acrylic colors - green gold, burnt sienna, and Nickel AZO Gold. The top left purple and green tiles made me think of dragon scales... can you see the knight?
